If you can swing it and don’t have other children that need to be held, I’d recommend sitting on the horse with them so that they can experience the up and down motion of the ride. I’ve seen people sitting behind the baby on one of the horses, holding the baby up onto the horse the whole ride, holding the baby on their arms as they stand next to another child on a horse, or using one of the sit-down carousel options.
